Note:
Part of a commonplace book containing the notes of a lawyer connected to the Inns of Court. The manuscript makes use of two page numbering systems. Folios 39v–42r (35v–38r in the other system) contain four unnamed dances. According to Andrew Swaine the first one was copied from Hunsdon House published for the first time in the 4th edition of The Dancing Master [Playford, 1670] (p. 153), so the manuscript should be dated after 1670.
