According to the preface given by John Weaver, [Feuillet, 1706] had some details on time and cadence, but he found more perfect method laid down in [Feuillet, Pécour, 1704] and made this small booklet out of it. The dating is somewhat confusing: the Orchesography was published in 1706 (in the same year, as this booklet was) and original ‹Traité de la cadance› was published by Feuillet in 1704 as a part of [Feuillet, Pécour, 1704]. The manuscript copy of this treatise can also by found in [Tomlinson, 1704–1721?]. John Weaver did not composed any part of it yet he is listed on the title page.
